THE OLYMPIC ART STUDIO
During the past decade, many of my artworks have been illuminations of my written words. A rural free-thinker, my observations are reined in and structured in rhyme..because as a great poet once reflected, "Writing poetry
that doesn't rhyme is like playing tennis without a net." Whether I've written on a serious level, or composed snippets of nonsense--- reminiscent of the Victorian tradition, I've followed by visualing these in the languages of watercolors, pastels, pen and ink...and more recently, acrylics. Lately I've surprised myself by handpainting my verses verbatim, juxtaposing these with illustrations, and whimsically decorating large ceramic objects.
From my Olympic Art Studio, planted near the glorious Olympic Mountains, you're invited to view my
